- 1 lb chicken tenders (about 8 pieces)
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or panko)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp olive oil or cooking spray
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
In a shallow bowl, whisk together the egg and milk.
In another bowl, mix breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Dip each chicken tender into the egg mixture, then coat evenly with the breadcrumb mixture.
Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place the coated chicken tenders in a single layer without overlapping.
Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Remove from the air fryer and let rest for 2 minutes before serving with your favorite dipping sauce.
Serve with your favorite dipping sauce like honey mustard, ranch, or BBQ. For extra flavor, marinate the chicken strips in buttermilk for 30 minutes before coating. To make them gluten-free, use almond flour or crushed gluten-free cornflakes.
