- 4 cups frozen sweet peas thawed and well drained
- 8 slices bacon cooked until crisp and crumbled
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese cut into small cubes
- 1/2 cup red onion finely diced
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Thaw the peas until cold but not icy, then drain well.
Cook the bacon until crisp, cool it, and crumble it.
In a small bowl, whisk the mayonnaise, sour cream, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper until smooth.
In a large bowl, combine the peas, bacon, cheddar, and red onion.
Fold in the dressing gently until everything is coated.
Chill for at least 1 hour before serving.
