Ingredients

For the Salmon

  • 4 fillets salmon fillets skin-on or skinless
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt and black pepper to season

For the Honey Garlic Glaze

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional for heat

Instructions

  • Pat the salmon fillets dry and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add salmon fillets skin-side down and sear for 3–4 minutes without moving.
  • Flip the salmon and cook for another 2–3 minutes until nearly cooked through.
  • Reduce heat to medium-low and pour the glaze into the skillet. Simmer for 2–3 minutes, spooning sauce over the salmon until the glaze thickens and coats the fillets.
  • Remove from heat and serve with extra glaze spooned over the top. Garnish with lemon slices, parsley, or sesame seeds if desired.
